Namaki asked me to publish the 6th pictures of this very blog... Here it is...
Chandler citizens were asked, at the time, to help in any way to the rescue of this water tower which was supposed to be demolished... No news since except that, two years later, the tower still stands.

A l'époque, il fut demandé aux habitants de Chandler d'aider à sauver ce château d'eau qui était voué à la démolition. Je n'ai lu aucune nouvelle depuis à son sujet mais, deux ans plus tard, il a toujours bon pied bon oeil!

When I was little, my mother and I used to call these towers 'men from Mars,' undoubtedly because she thought they reminded her of War of the Worlds' creatures.
Chouette château d'eau. Mon père avait installé un bidon rouillé sur un de nos pommiers du jardin ; on pompait, on pompait à la pompe à bras et maman arrosait... à vau-l'eau ?
Chez nous c'est en béton ces machins là!
