This three wheeled bicycle was used by the staff at San Marcos Hotel (downtown Chandler) to deliver luggages and bring food to guests in the 3o's.

Ce vélo à trois roues était utilisé par le personnel de l’hôtel San Marcos pour amener les bagages et/ou apporter la nourriture aux clients dans les années 30.

Dr Chandler, Canadian born, founds the town of Chandler in 1912. The construction of San Marcos Hotel starts the same year and the hotel opens in November 1913. It is a two storey structure of the Mission Revival Style of architecture designed by a Mr. Benton. In 1927 Dr Chandler meets Frank Lloyd Wright and by the fall of 1929 the construction of an even bigger hotel is scheduled to begin. But on October 29, the stock market crashes and the Great Depression begins…

Dr Chandler, canadien de naissance, crée la ville de Chandler en 1912. La construction de l’hôtel San Marcos commence la même année et l’hôtel ouvre ses portes en novembre 1913. C’est un hôtel à deux étages de style néo -classique dessiné par un certain Mr Benton. En 1927 Dr Chandler rencontre Frank Lloyd Wright et à l’automne 1929 la construction d’un hôtel encore plus grand doit commencer. Mais le 29 octobre la bourse s’effondre et la Grande dépression s’installe...
