Chili peppers are tied on a string to dry so that they can be available for cooking all year round. When placed in the kitchen they bring good luck in cooking, hanging outside they welcome visitors. I would say New Mexico is probably a place where to find more of them but we haven’t been there yet so I can't really tell.

Les piments sont pendus sur une corde pour pouvoir être utilisés facilement en cuisine toute l’année. Suspendus sur les façades des maisons, ils accueillent les visiteurs, dans la cuisine ils portent chance quand on cuisine. On en trouve vraisemblablement plus au Nouveau Mexique mais comme nous n’y sommes pas encore allés je ne peux pas vraiment en parler.
