Everything seemed to be ok and everybody is busy folding the hot air balloon but I am not sure it was the right place to land…
Philéas Fog would not have gone very far.

Symbol of the desert oasis. These palm trees are native to North Africa and grow (up to 30 m) well in the Valley of Phoenix. They can survive dry heat and aridity. Older leaves are removed to eliminate the litter.
Here the fruits are still immature, they will darken some but often they are removed because they create such a mess. Usually people who want to save them to eat will put big bags around them until they ripen and can be harvested.

Symbole des oasis du désert! Ces palmiers sont originaires d’Afrique du Nord et poussent très bien (jusqu'à une hauteur de 30 mètres) dans la Vallée de Phoenix. Ils survivent habituellement à la chaleur et à l’aridité. On enlève les feuilles les plus anciennes pour éviter le fouillis. En général ceux qui veulent garder les dattes pour la consommation entourent celles-ci de grands sacs jusqu'à ce qu’elles murissent et soient prêtes à être récoltées.
