Of course we do remember our first Mac in 1992. We switched to a pc not long after because at the time there were not a real choice of learning games on Macs.

On se souvient bien sûr de notre premier Mac en 1992,  mais à l’époque il n’y avait pas un grand choix de jeux  « éducatifs » sur Mac aussi avons-nous changé pour un pc assez rapidement.

“Fusion of cultures”

I stole part of Las Aventuras comment from yesterday for the title of this post: “Fusion of cultures.”

Rohrerbor is right when he is adding: “Let’s not forget the wine.”

A few weeks ago we discovered, my husband and I, an excellent Californian red wine -I dislike advertising-  a quite affordable one too.

You got to admire the title:

J’ose voler une partie du commentaire d’hier de Las Aventuras pour m’en servir comme titre pour le billet d’aujourd’hui « Fusion de culture. » Rohrerbor a d’autant plus raison qu’il ajoute « n’oublions pas le vin. »

Nous avons découvert il y a quelques semaines, mon mari et moi, un excellent vin californien -et loin de moi l’idée de faire de la pub. De surcroît c’est un vin assez bon marché.

Savourez-en le nom:

Kokopelli, the flute player, is a sacred figure to the natives of the Southwest. We don’t know very well about his origins but is principally a symbol of fertility.

Kokopelli, le joueur de  flûte, est un symbole sacré des natifs du sud-ouest américain. Nous ne connaissons pas ses origines exactes mais c’est principalement un symbole de fertilité.

More than dust

Yesterday this dust storm created a few pile ups between Chandler and Tucson and left one dead and 18 injured. Hopefully it's the last one before long...

Cette tempête, hier, entre Chandler et Tucson a fait un mort et dix-huit blessés. Osons espérer que c'est la dernière tempête avant longtemps.

It did not take me long to find a bug at Cergie’s request. in fact I have a bug in my own computer. It will take some time to replace the part that I have to send for replacement. So in between bear with me (+ my notebook)  and with the pictures I will take any other day, mostly in the backyard because I don’t have much time to spend outside the home right now….

Busy busy like this fruit fly. Is it a fruit fly?  There must be a more appropriate name for it. Has anyone a clue?

Cela ne m’a pas pris longtemps pour trouver, à la demande de Cergie, un insecte !

Jeu de mot en anglais : a bug = un défaut, une bête…)

En fait j’ai un problème avec l’ordinateur.  Cela me prendra quelque temps pour remplacer une pièce défectueuse, c’est la deuxième fois. Alors, entre temps, vous aurez à supporter les photos que je prendrai au jour le jour pour la plupart dans le jardin car je dispose de peu de temps libre que je mettrai en ligne avec mon "notebook."

Bien occupée comme cette mouche à fruit. Mais est-ce une mouche à fruit ? Il y a surement un mot plus adéquat, quelqu’un a-t-il une idée ?
